Director - Andrew Fishman

Hello Campers and Families! My name is Andrew Fishman and I am so thrilled to introduce myself as the new Director of Camp Davis! Some of you may know me from my time at the JCC Early Childhood Learning Center, but before moving to Nashville in 2019 I worked at my home camp Elmwood Day Camp in White Plains, New York for five amazing summers. I have been in the general field of education for a while as I earned my Master’s in Teaching from the University of Virginia and taught high school English before making my way back to the world of summer camps. Being at camp is truly my happy place and I cannot wait to share in the Camp Davis experience with all of you. See below to meet the rest of our Leadership Team!

Assistant Director - Max O'Dell

Hey campers and families, I’m Max and I am the Assistant Camp Director at Camp Davis. I grew up here in Nashville and have been working in the camping industry since I was sixteen, including working at Whippoorwill Farm Day Camp where I spent five awesome summers. When I’m not at camp you can find me wandering the isles of Trader Joe’s or hiking in the woods. I look forward to meeting all of you and having a blast this summer!

Inclusion director - Abby pierron (AP!)

Hi! My name is Abby Pierron, but I go by AP! I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but I love living here in Nashville with my husband, Chad, and our giant dogs, Bear and Goose! I attended Lipscomb University and completed a B.S. in K-8 Special Education Intervention.  This is my 5th year teaching in the comprehensive disabilities classroom at West End Middle School. This year will make for my 3rd summer at Camp Davis!  I love that Camp is a place where anyone and everyone can show up and be fully themselves. Such fun, genuine childhood experiences are fostered at camp, and I love the opportunity to get to be a piece of that! Can't wait to see you this summer!

program director - Sami weinberg

Hi! My name is Sami Weinberg. This will be my 3rd summer at Camp Davis and my 4th year living in Nashville. During the school year, I work as a third-grade teacher. When not at camp or school I love spending time with my family, going hiking, and baking. I took last summer off but I am so excited to be back this summer. I can't wait for this summer!

Unit Heads

Jordan reeves

Hey everyone! My name is Jordan Reeves, and I am one of the Unit Heads for Camp Davis this summer! I worked at Camp Davis last summer as a counselor, as well. Originally, I am from Indiana, and my husband and I just moved to Spring Hill, TN last summer with our dog, Luna. In Indiana, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I taught 6th grade English Language Arts for a year and a half, and since I've been in TN, I have been teaching Pre-K. My wide range of experience has given me great practice with all ages of kiddos, and I can't wait to bring my passion for education to help make camp great this summer!

dylan schuman

Greetings! My name is Dylan Schuman and I am excited to be returning to Camp Davis for another Summer! Prior to working at Camp Davis, I worked at the Baltimore JCC Camp as a Unit Head.  Camp is a special place that allows kids to be kids and engage in whacky/silly fun while creating meaningful relationships with their peers. Camp also allows for me to be my silliest and work with kids in a different space. During the Year, I teach music at H.G. Hill Middle and Hillwood High School allowing me to work with young people all year round. Outside of work I enjoy making music, watching soccer, and drinking chocolate milk! See you this summer!

Abigail Hardage

Hi everyone! My name is Abigail Hardage and I am so excited to be one of the Unit Heads this summer! I'm originally from Austin, TX, moving to Nashville to go to college at Lipscomb University where I got my Special Education degree and fell in love with the city. Outside of the summer months, I am a teacher at Sunset Middle School for students on Alternate Assessment. My experience working at Jill's House weekend camps and consistently being involved with children and families makes me so excited to spend the summer at Camp Davis! I am so looking forward to getting to know the campers and communicating with families!

shannon dilks

Hello! My name is Shannon and I am a northerner, born and raised in Wisconsin. However, I have lived in Nashville since 1996 where I attended Belmont University and graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in music and a double minor in voice and tenor saxophone. I have taught private piano and voice in the Nashville area for over 20 years. I am also a middle and high school choir director and theater instructor for the WEB school in East Nashville. My biggest accomplishment is my two girls, whom I have homeschooled from the time they were five and are now a rising college senior and 8th grader. When not teaching, I have a love for hiking, kayaking, animals, snow, and coffee.
